Ayurveda Kitchen Alchemy: Midwest Edition: SPICES
SAT JAN 17, 2026, 10 AM - 12 PM CST (SAT JAN 17, 2026, 10 AM - 12 PM CST)

Health and wellness are largely guided by your kitchen rituals and rhythms. How?

In Ayurveda, it is your digestive fire, your Agni, that fuels your immunity, your ability to receive what life throws your way and what you bring into your body, and your alchemical process of creating Ahara Rasa (life-giving sap) out of it all.

Easiest way to stoke that fire or tame its rage - through food. Why? Because just like water and air, it's one of the most frequent flyers through your body throughout every day of your life creating health or dis-ease.

Through the lens of Midwest living, I am going to share with you in each of these 4 immersive workshops HOW to be creating health and building a longevity culture within your home apothecary - the kitchen.

The Spices Workshop is a 2-hour immersive into your herbal medicine cabinet. You will walk away from this experience with a seasonal spice mix - made in class with mortar and pestle (my FAV kitchen 'gadget'); easy-to-absorb knowledge on STAPLE spices and how they work; and most importantly, how to use them in any Wisconsin dish. There are 6 tastes in Ayurveda and they will be the anchor in each session so you can build confidence in your inner sense of knowing how to transform any food intake moment into a health-building opportunity.

Logistics of this Kitchen Alchemy Series:

  • You do not need to attend all of these or in a certain order. You will learn a lot of practical knowledge and be given different tools in each session. To make it an easy "YES!" to all 4, go to the "Packages" page and get a discount for attending the entire series!
  • Each session you will go home with something to use in your kitchen apothecary and next meals.
  • Each session will include an Ayurvedic snack, elevated hydration, and a 15-minute Sound Treatment to help you integrate the new information. PS - I design my classes to be something that I would want to attend! So bring on the snacks, the info I can turn around and use immediately, and the relaxation!
  • Why is it called, "Midwest Edition"? There are signature dishes, approaches to food, flavor profile, and weather that color our food cravings, availability, and choices. My approach is to 'pranify' and 'elevate' the ritual of our regional fare and create health that can keep the whole clan happy and healthy (kids, partners, all the roles you play).
